SAP PM Transaction Cheat Sheets by Workflow

DRAFT · unverified

The Planner's Bench · Cheat sheet (downloadable) · Version 0.2 · Oct 25, 2026 · Follows playbook DRAFT v0.2 Status: DRAFT | Unverified until owner sign-off

Purpose

Use this sheet to look up the SAP transaction code (tcode) or SAP Fiori app for a Plant Maintenance (PM) planning task, grouped by workflow, with ECC vs S/4HANA availability.

How to use

  1. Find your workflow section (1–6).
  2. Read the Code and Name. The "ECC vs S/4" column tells you whether the code exists in SAP ERP Central Component (ECC), in SAP S/4HANA (S/4), or both, and gives the Fiori app ID where there is one.
  3. Check Status. "Source-checked" means a public source names the code; it is not owner-verified. "(third-party)" means the source is a catalog site, not an SAP page. Unverified means no source confirmed it.
  4. Confirm in your own system before you rely on a code. Your site's configuration and procedures override this sheet.

Fields

Code | Name | ECC vs S/4 (Fiori app) | Status | Source

  • Fiori IDs were checked in the SAP Fiori Apps Reference Library (S/4HANA 2025 Feature Pack Stack (FPS) 02). They are S/4 only; ECC has no Fiori equivalent.
  • GUI (classic SAP GUI screen) codes are available in ECC and in S/4 on-premise/private cloud. S/4 Cloud Public Edition uses Fiori only.
  • Acronyms: TECO = technically completed · GI = goods issue · Mvt = movement type · MIGO = Post Goods Movement transaction · QM = Quality Management · WCM = Work Clearance Management · WCA = work clearance application · WCD = work clearance document · PTW = Permit to Work · LOTO = lockout/tagout · SIF = safety instrumented function · I&E = Instrumentation and Electrical.

(Fiori) F4691 Create Work Permit Request S/4 Unverified (seen only in an SAP blog; not checked in the Fiori library) [C-PTW]

Craft notes: SIF bypasses or inhibits for I&E testing follow site permit and override procedures. Never shortcut permits.

Note: Permit to Work Fiori apps do not process classic WCM objects, and vice versa [L-REL]. Note also that the ECC applicability of the classic WCM codes rests on general knowledge; the help.sap.com WCA page is from the NetWeaver 7.0-era library.

Worked example

Example data (fictional): you need to issue a spare to an open order. Use MIGO with Mvt 261 against the order (section 5). If the part comes back unused, post Mvt 262.
